To put water service into your name, please complete a water/sewer application and provide copies of your driver's license and General Warranty Deed/Special Warranty Deed (must include physical address on document).
Documentation can be emailed to csupak@cityofmagnolia.com or hand-delivered to City Hall no later than 3:30 pm.
If you are a contractor and/or need a new meter installed where one does not already exist, email the same information to csupak@cityofmagnolia.com requesting the meter size desired.
Once application and payment are received, connection will be scheduled immediately. We do not accept applications in advance.
WATER / WASTEWATER DEPOSITS, RATES AND CHARGES FOR SERVICE:
WATER / WASTEWATER SERVICE SECURITY DEPOSITS - All new residential and commercial customers of the water and/or wastewater utilities shall be required to pay and maintain a security deposit in the amount of $200.00, and lessees shall be required to pay and maintain a security deposit in the amount of $350.00 at all times that services are provided. New service applications received by mail or email after 3:30 pm will be processed the following day.
An application charge of $35.00 must also be paid at the time of the payment of the security deposit.
A reconnect fee of $45.00 must be paid any time re-connection of service is made.
BILLING, LATE AND DISCONNECT NOTICES - Bills will be sent out the first week of each month. Payment is due on the 20th of each month in the Utility Billing office by 5:00 p.m. submitted in any one of the seven (7) ways to pay your water/wastewater/garbage bill as referenced below. Note: If the 20th falls on a weekend or a holiday, the due date will be the next regular working day. A 5% penalty fee will be added to the account if unpaid by the 20th by 5:00 pm. The bill can still be paid before or on the last working day of the month by 5:00 pm without incurring any additional penalty. After 5:00 pm, there will be a $45.00 fee added to all unpaid accounts. An emailed bill is available to those who wish to have it emailed. A Late Notice will be sent out after the 20th to advise of unpaid status.
If you have a hardship, you may request a hearing with the City Administrator within ten (10) days of the date of a Disconnect Notice to avoid disconnection. If the total amount due or an agreement is not reached on or before the deadline, service will be disconnected.
A $100.00 meter tampering fee will be charged if the meter is tampered with or damaged in any way by someone other than authorized city personnel, which could result in Class A - C misdemeanor charges. If a lock is cut or damaged, if the meter, meter box or curb stop is damaged, the repair/replacement cost will also be added.

6. By phone with credit card (a 3.5% fee is included)

WATER / WASTEWATER AND REFUSE REMOVAL CHARGES:
Water / wastewater and refuse removal charges are provided in City of Magnolia Fee Schedule.
TAP FEES - The following tap fees shall be collected as applicable from the applicant before the connection is made:
Water Taps (Standard)
5/8" - $ 650.00
1" - $ 775.00
1 1/2 " - $1,250.00
2" - $2,500.00

1 1/2 " - $1,250.00

Wastewater Taps (Standard)
4" - $ 925.00
6" - $1,200.00

Additional requirements which may be determined to be needed by the City Engineer or the City's contract services which would exceed the cost for a standard 4" or 6" wastewater tap will be charged to the customer.

Each new connection to the City's water and/or wastewater system will be required to pay the appropriate impact fees as established by the City Council before construction begins.
