About

Magnolia, Texas is located in southwest Montgomery County, nationally ranked as 7th in growth among U.S. counties.  A short drive from Houston, Magnolia is poised for expansion with the arrival of the SH 249 Toll Way and major corporations like ExxonMobil moving into the area. At the crossroads of progress Magnolia is still a place where neighbors help neighbors—a place to call home or grow your business.

THE FLAG OF MAGNOLIA
graphic
"The flag of Magnolia has a meaning and ties to the values of our community and the heraldry of our history;
The flag emblazoned with the city's name "Magnolia" which crosses all fields of the flag and unites them with pride;
The maroon is the base color of our community and schools;
The green stands for our forests and the lumber industry that was so instrumental in the creation of the City of Magnolia;
The Magnolia blossom stands for the beauty of our area and the warmth, the unity, and caring of our citizens;
The crossed swords stand for the unity of our community and our willingness to protect our country, our state, and our city;
The shield symbolizes our resolve to defend our citizens from harm;
The white stripe that transects the flag represents the railroad that divides the city but at the same time, serves as the symbol that defined us for so many years."
