Impact Fees
Texas Local Government Code Section 395.001(4) defines "impact fee" as a charge or assessment imposed by a political subdivision on new development to generate revenue for funding or recouping the costs of capital improvements or facility expansions necessitated by and attributable to the new development.
Impact fees are imposed on all properties, residential and commercial, connecting to the City's water and/or sewer system, whether inside city limits or within the extraterritorial jurisdiction.
The City of Magnolia's most recent adoption of impact fees occured in 2022. These fees apply until amended:
Tap and Impact Fees are to be paid directly through the Utility Department by check made out to City of Magnolia.
