Generator Permits

Permits are required to place a permanent generator on all property inside city limits.
To apply for a permanent generator permit, we need the following items:

1. Building Permit Application
2. Electric Permit Application
3. Plumbing Permit Application (for gas)
   - This can be submitted later, or separately, if necessary.
4. Site plan showing proposed location of generator on the property with measured distances from surrounding structures and property lines.
5. Generator specs provided by manufacturer. 

All can be emailed to permits@cityofmagnolia.com . We allow 10 business days for review but generator permits do not typically take that long.

A link for card payment will be emailed to you upon approval, otherwise cash and check are acceptable at City Hall. 
Permit fees are dependent on what is selected on the application forms (typically less than $200).
