Road Closure April 27-28: Railroad Project (UPDATED)

NOTICE:

TxDOT and Union Pacific Railroad have agreed to close FM 1488 at the crossing between Melton St. and FM 1774 from April 27, 2024 through April 28, 2024 to allow UPRR to construct the new track panels. (approx. 6am-6pm)

Only the railroad crossing itself and Melton, from 1488 to Smith will be closed. 1774 north and south, along with Business 1774 will still be open. There will be officers at multiple intersections working the traffic boxes or directing traffic to minimize the back up of regular light cycles.
