As part of our Greater Houston Resiliency Initiative, CenterPoint Energy will be completing a series of critical upgrades to strengthen resiliency and improve reliability for our customers in Magnolia beginning in June, and over the coming months. These important upgrades may include:
- Installing stronger, more storm-resilient poles to better withstand extreme winds
- Installing automation devices to reduce the impact of any outage
- Clearing high-risk trees and vegetation from power lines to improve reliability and reduce storm-related outages
- Undergrounding power lines at key locations to strengthen overall resiliency
- Relocating circuit sections to improve restoration times
- Conducting bi-annual inspections on all power lines
What Residents Need to Know
- Crews will work Monday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
