As part of our Greater Houston Resiliency Initiative, CenterPoint Energy will be completing a series of critical upgrades to strengthen resiliency and improve reliability for our customers in Magnolia beginning in June, and over the coming months. These important upgrades may include:

  • Installing stronger, more storm-resilient poles to better withstand extreme winds
  • Installing automation devices to reduce the impact of any outage
  • Clearing high-risk trees and vegetation from power lines to improve reliability and reduce storm-related outages
  • Undergrounding power lines at key locations to strengthen overall resiliency
  • Relocating circuit sections to improve restoration times
  • Conducting bi-annual inspections on all power lines

What Residents Need to Know
