Business Improvement Grants

The Magnolia 4B Community Development Corporation (MCDC) manages two types of community grants; Business Improvement and Planning Assistance. 

Business Improvement Grant (BIG):  Authorized annually, this grant provides a 50/50 matching grant to city-based, for profit businesses looking to construct or redevelop existing commercial property.  The grant funds four categories of work including facade improvements, business signage, property improvements and demolition.  Applications are taken in a rolling basis from October 1 to September 30th of each year.  Applications can be requested through the MCDC office or through the link below.  Please contact us prior to submitting an application so we can assist!

Planning Assistance (PA): 2022 is the pilot year for the planning assistance grant.  The program is designed to assist with site planning for existing commercial tracts along the FM 1488 west corridor impacted by the FM 1488 widening by TxDOT.  Applications can be requested through the MCDC office.
